In The Mood for Love

What happens when love, sex and intimacy between men are given a space that is open, honest and unapologetically tender?
In the Mood for Love was a 2021 exhibition and public programme by Jaouad Alloul and Sjamaan Media at huisvandeMens Brussels, exploring love, sexuality, intimacy, consent and queer male identity.
Sagitta Creatives was responsible for the full concept and scenography, translating the emotional and social layers of the project into a spatial experience that moved beyond shame, stereotype and silence.
Through the design of the exhibition environment, we shaped a setting where artworks, performances, workshops and conversations could exist together as one intimate and layered story.
The result was a space that opened up a more honest conversation about masculinity, vulnerability, desire and the many ways men can love.
